I just wanted to write about how effective and dedicated Toni is when she is working with our special needs kids via ZOOM. She is knowledgeable and has a lot of experience working with FASD kids, Autistic children and special needs kids with with traumatic experiences. I really believe this school saved my daughter. When she was in public school the teachers called her bad and stupid and a trouble maker. My daughter hated school and pretty much hated herself. Then we found this school. My daughter is happy, confident and loves learning. She knows she smart and can do anything she sets her mind to. This is a testament to the positive and loving learning environment at this school. These teachers clearly care about our kids. I would highly recommend this school! We had lost hope that our sweet little girl would ever recover from the trauma of her public school experience. Can Learn Christian Academy has been amazing. My son has been a student at CAN LEARN Christian Academy for two years. The last two years have been an emotional breeze for my son and our family compared to the previous years of education in public school. David is learning among his peers and has friends, a situation totally unique for him.
David has AD/HD, a mood disorder, plus attachment disorder. Life has not been easy for him, lacking normal social skills has made friendships few and far between. At CAN LEARN David has friends. The students recognize that they are “different” from other children and yet they are the same as the children at CAN LEARN. This is a huge plus as most of the students struggle (at least a bit) with social situations & friendships. David has had sleepover at a school mate’s home, he has had sleepover at the school—complete with hotdog roast over a fire for dinner! David does “normal” kid stuff at CAN LEARN.
Everyone has bad days here & there, some more than others. Bad days are worked thru at CAN LEARN with the help of the highly trained & educated teachers. In public school, David would be in the principal’s office or be suspended on a regular basis. In the two years David has been at CAN LEARN, I have never been asked to pick him up due to behavior problems. The teacher communicates with the parent as problems occur to problem-solve together and the day is saved.
Learning is truly customized at CAN LEARN Christian Academy. Some children have photographic memories so teaching methods differ from those who need manipulatives & repetition.
The children are proud of tasks completed, steps conquered, and progress made. Small steps are celebrated and sometimes steps need to be put aside and revisited a bit down the road.
Students at CAN LEARN Christian Academy are happy. They are relieved that here they are “normal” and fit in. Students don’t compare themselves to others because their uniqueness is discussed (to a reasonable degree) and they learn quickly that their progress is meaningful to the teacher, their family, and themselves—and not a concern of others. These children are proud of their accomplishments.

Our 31/2 years of experience with Can Learn Christian Academy has been amazing. My granddaughter has very unique problems that baffled most 'experts' in the system; she doesn't fit into the mold. Her behavior was such that the public school teachers, as well as the speech and OT therapists felt that she would never be able to speak, read or write. I was devastated about this and did a lot of research to find some answers. When I came upon the Can Learn website I felt I had to meet with them. Mrs. Hager and her staff have been wonderful. The wealth of information Mrs Hager has given me has helped tremendously with my granddaughter's behavior problems. The staff is knowledgeable and on the same page, so to say as I am. It is comforting to know that the staff understands my granddaughter's special needs and are able to work with them. My granddaughter has now progressed to speaking full sentences, along with asking questions. She is beginning to read and is working on her writing skills. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Can Learn Christian Academy. It has been such a special blessing in our life.
